Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae
Heteronympha merope
This male Common Brown is one of the tattiest and most worn living butterflies I have seen, and it is even still capable of flying.
It has lost large areas of the scales from its wings exposing the shiny membrane beneath, and its wings are holed and frayed.
